On a cool but dry Wednesday afternoon the Blues took to their home turf to host the TCS squad from Port Hope. Perhaps it was the “climate change” but the UCC firsts had trouble finding their game while Trinity was keen to give the League leaders a run for their money right from the starting whistle. The Blues recovered and in the 7th minute, Hilli earned a penalty which he converted twice!.. as the first was negated by an 18 yard box infringement. The UCC starting 11 then continued to struggle to find their passing game but in 33rd minute Oscar Brown found the net with low drive to extend his scoring streak. The Blues game lifted and just before half added another when Justin Kim’s shot deflected off a TCS defender into his own net (and Kim was credited with the tally to earn his first goal of the season). After some substitutions at half the Blues controlled the game in the 62nd minute Luka Chu capped of the scoring with a hard shot that beat the keeper. The team would like to thank our loyal fans that braved the cool condition to support us. The win clinched first place for the Blues who earned a bye in the Quarter finals as well as the League trophy for the fourth season in a row!
