Former Upper Canada College Varsity hockey player Cameron White just announced his commitment to NCAA division 1 St. Lawrence Saints for 2018-19. Cameron will be joining past UCC varsity teammates Will Reilly and Matt Baker in the ECAC  of NCAA’s D1 hockey. The former assistant captain of the varsity hockey team has played in the CCHL for the Ottawa Junior A Senators where he has helped lead the team to two successive Bogart Cup Final appearances.  While at the Upper Canada College Cam played for the varsity football, hockey and lacrosse teams earning him the coveted Logie medal in his graduating year as the top student-athlete.. White credits much of his success to his many UCC coaches and has strong words of support for both coach Beaudoin and Clarke who he says taught him to be the kind of player that he is today. White reported that his time playing Varsity hockey at UCC was not only his most enjoyable experience but invaluable to his development as a player. “The varsity program allowed me to learn, develop and play against stronger and older players in Prep school programs all over the States. The CISAA  is an incredibly skilled league with many players working to earn a spot on NCAA teams. There is no question in my mind that it is the best place for a UCC student to play if they are looking to compete beyond high school.” UCC wishes him the best of luck as he embarks on the next step in his hockey career.
