At the close of the 2014 season, the varsity soccer team played a critical, end-of-season match-up. A win would secure the title trophy in the Conference of Independent Schools Athletic Association (CISAA) league, a prize which has eluded them since 2007.

An exquisite header – from a beautiful outside-of-the-foot pass – sealed the victory.

Make no mistake: UCC boys are a powerhouse in soccer. The undefeated varsity squad won the league trophy and the league cup, while the Under 14 and Under 16 teams were also champions. The Under 13A team also claimed the CISAA title (and the national title for the second year in a row), while the Under 12A, Under 12B, Under 11 and Under 10 also won their respective CISAA championships.

Each team has two dedicated coaches, and they focus on honing high-level performance from boys. UCC’s excellent facilities (including a seasonal covered field, four grass fields and one artificial turf field) are also rented to elite training academy, Power Soccer School of Excellence. The academy gives boys the chance to work with and improve their skills under world-class coaches during summer months.

Our Prep teams are also among the highest calibre among independent schools. The Prep program gives all boys in Grades 4 through 7 a chance to play competitive soccer. With nine teams broken into three tiers, all boys are matched by developmental level.
