UCC U14 Badminton loses to Crescent

The U14 badminton team lost yesterday to a strong Crescent team 5 games to nil. Jason Lee tried hard but could not defeat his first singles opponent, who is a likely favorite to win at CISAA’s. U14 Badminton loses first game to SAC

The U14 Badminton headed to SAC for their first game today. Josh Heldman won his match handily, while Jason Lee and James Bao lost their singles matches. The doubles teams of Stefan Ateljevic and Tiger Xie played well in their debut, as did the team of Eli Sidlofsky and Ethan Li. All had fun and hope to continue to improve.

U14 Badminton Finishes Off Season At CISAA Championships

Though we were poised to do well at the final tournament, we had to do some last minute shifting of players — mostly due to injury.  David Zhou stepped up to 1S. U14 Badminton Falls to Strong SAC Squad

UCC lost 4-1 against a very strong and experienced SAC U14 badminton team.  Special mention goes to David and Nick for their win in the first doubles flight with scores of 21-18 and 21-17.

U14 Badminton Tops RSGC

UCC played 5 hard-fought matches against RSGC today. Three of them went to the third game tie-breaker and, in the end, UCC came out victorious with a 4-1 win over RSGC. Congrats to the whole team and ,in particular, to Lucca (2S) Nathan (3S), Ethan & Nick (1D) , Aaron and Fergus (2D)!

U14 Badminton Drops Tight First Match to SAC

In our first game of the season against a very strong SAC team, UCC’s U14 boys rose to the challenge — going to tie-breaker games in most of our matches, but dropping an overall 2-3 matches to our Aurora rivals. Congratulations to our boys on a job well done!
