JV Hockey Advances To CISAA Championship

The JV Hockey team had a terrific effort on all fronts last Friday night in their semifinal playoff at Nichols School. The Blues got solid goaltending from senior Ty Greenberg and balanced scoring on their way to a 6-3 win over the host Vikings. The win puts the Blues into the CISAA Championship game on Tuesday, March 6th at St. Andrew’s College. Game time is 3:00 pm. Go Blues!

JV Hockey Pulls Off Quarterfinal Stunner

The JV Hockey team travelled to DeLaSalle yesterday to play their quarterfinal playoff game. The Blues outshot their opponents in the first two periods, but the DeLaSalle goaltender was outstanding, stopping several point blank opportunities. After two periods, DeLaSalle led 2-1. JV Hockey Rounding Into Playoff Form

The JV Hockey team hosted the first place team in their division, Nichols School, today at the Wilder Arena. The Blues played a solid two way game, capitalizing on their scoring chances while playing a credible defensive game in their own end, coming out on top 4-0. JV Hockey Splits Games Once Again

The JV Hockey team hosted Villanova College on Monday, suffering a heartbreaking 2-1 loss with Villanova potting the winner with under a minute remaining in the game. Today, tbe Blues travelled to Lakefield to take on the Terrapins. The Blues played well for the most part, coming away with the 4-3 victory. The team has two games remaining before heading into the playoffs.

JV Hockey Splits Games

The JV Hockey team faced a talented DeLaSalle College squad at home on Monday, falling 5-4 in the last minute despite holding a 4-3 lead with only a few minutes to go. A tough loss considering how well the team played for the majority of the contest. JV Hockey Suffers Tough Loss

The JV team travelled to Nichols School today to face the first place team in their division. The Blues played a terrific game, outshooting the Vikings 42-21 but could not manage to find the net enough for the victory. The Blues fell 5-3 to Nichols, who potted their 5th goal into an empty net. The team next plays at home this coming Monday in an inter-division game against close neighbour, DeLaSalle College.

JV Hockey Earns Tie At Villanova

The JV Hockey team played a solid two-way game yesterday in Vaughn against Villanova College, ending in a 1-1 tie. Caden Wisinioski played an exception game in goal with Andrea Tutino notching UCC’s only goal. The Blues next game is Wednesday, January 31st in Buffalo against Nichols School.

JV Hockey Drops First League Game At SAC

The JV team travelled to Aurora today to take on a tough Saint’s squad. Tied at 2-2 heading into the second period, the Blues got sloppy and gave up 3 unanswered goals and as a result, trailed 5-2 heading into the 3rd period. Although the 3rd period was a solid one for UCC, it was not enough to overcome the SAC lead, as the Blues dropped to 2-1 in league play, with a 6-3 loss. Read More

The JV Hockey team headed into league play last week, with their first road game at TCS. The JV Hockey team finally had a chance to take to the ice and get some games in over the last weekend at the SAC Tournament.
