Carl Beaudoin is in his 13th year at Upper Canada College. Currently his fourth year at the helm of the Varsity Hockey Program after 4 year stints with the U14 and U16 hockey teams respectively. Carl finished his playing career overseas in the Dutch super league with the Nijmegen Tigers, after 5 years at Saint-Francis Xavier University, a team he captained to a  National Championship berth. His junior career in the QJMHL was spent with the Hull Olympics, another team he captained and with whom he had the opportunity to play in the Memorial Cup. A firm believer in honesty, work ethic, discipline, and selflessness, Carl looks forward to another strong year from the 2017-18 edition of the Varsity Blues.

Assistant Coach: Mr. Nick Morris

Nick Morris is in his second year at Upper Canada College, and is excited to be returning to the Varsity Hockey coaching staff after joining the team mid-season last year. Prior to his time at UCC, Nick coached the Crescent U16 hockey team, leading them to back-to-back championships in his only two seasons as coach of the team. As a UCC Old Boy (Class of 2002) and veteran of the Varsity Hockey program, Nick provides a unique perspective on the UCC student-athlete experience and the lifelong lessons that can be learned by putting on a UCC jersey. He is proud to have returned to the Varsity Hockey team as an Assistant Coach, and is looking forward to a strong, competitive 2017-2018 season.

Team Manager/Assistant Coach:   Mr. Matthew Baird

Screen Shot 2017-10-17 at 1.26.30 PM Before my time at Upper Canada College, I was a long time member of the Loyola High School of Montreal varsity hockey team and captained the team in my second year. Along with hockey I played football for Loyola for several years. Coming to UCC, I had made plans to be a team member of the varsity football, hockey and lacrosse team, but was sidelined due to several injuries during the year. As a result, I was incapable of continuing athletics at the college, but an opportunity arose to become team manager of both the varsity hockey and football teams and I took it. Along with that I will also be a member of the varsity golf team in the spring of the 2018 year.
