Varsity Squash Captures 4th Consecutive CISAA Championship

The UCC Varsity Squash Team, 17 members strong, completed the season undefeated, culminating in a convincing win over Crescent School at the CISAA Championships by a score of 6-3. JV Squash CISAA Championship

UCC  Varsity Squash players travelled to SAC today to play SAC, TCS, and Crescent in the JV Squash Championships. It was an afternoon of intense competition and when the final scores were tallied UCC placed third behind host SAC and Crescent. The entire team played very well.  Two standouts were 2nd seed, Reid Gledhill, who dominated his opponent’s winning each match 3-0 and amassing 9 points, and Ben Alberga who contributed 7 points. Varsity Squash Heads to CISAA Championships

The team completed another fine undefeated regular season today at TCS by defeating the host school by a convincing score of 6-3 and following up with a 7-2 win over Crescent School, despite the fact that # 1 seed, James Flynn, had to sit out the match with an ankle injury. The rest of the team all moved up a rank and played extremely well to claim the victory. Coach Frost

Varsity Squash 2017-18 Season

Varsity Squash 2017-2018 Varsity Squash practices begin next Thursday, November 16th, at the Dunfield Club. We have a strong contingent  returning from last year’s championship team and a number of new  player who will be contending for spots on the team. Our first match will be the traditional Early Bird Tournament at SAC on November 22. This event features teams from all the schools in the CISAA Varsity Squash League. Varsity Squash Captures 2nd Consecutive CISAA Championship

Championship Photos The season began with the customary trip to SAC for the “Early Bird Tournament”. Here we learned that Crescent was going to be the team to beat because after a full day of squash UCC finished second to them.
