Varsity Volleyball wins first playoff game against Crescent

The Blues beat Crescent in three consecutive sets at home yesterday afternoon. The entire team was ecstatic with all members seeing some court time. The semis are coming up on Friday at 3:30pm against SAC. We hope to redeem ourselves after the tough loss to them during the regular season!

Varsity Volleyball loses in Semis at Forest Heights Tournament

The varsity volleyball team went to Kitchener for two days this past weekend. Taking first place in our pool, the Blues faced two of the toughest teams in the repool. Varsity Volleyball at the Hayden Volleyball Tournament

The boys went to Burlington on Friday to play in the Hayden Volleyball Tournament. 24 teams attended at UCC advanced to the semi finals, unfortunately taking a loss against St. Marcelenus in three sets. Despite this, the team has a lot to be proud of. With an absence and a few injuries, the team is performing at a level that the coaches are very proud of. Our next tournament will be in Kitchener over two days!

Varsity Volleyball finishes the regular season on a win

The Varsity Volleyball team finished the regular season with a big win against Greenwood. They took them out in 3 close sets. We’ve got a tournament in Burlington this coming weekend and we hope to bring the same energy and drive with us. Playoffs start on Nov 1. Go Blues! Coach Chan

Varsity Volleyball co-hosts SMCS Tournament

Last weekend, UCC co-hosted the SMCS Showcase Volleyball Tournament in the Lett Gym. The tournament featured some of the best Sr. Boys’ volleyball teams in Ontario. Coming fourth in our pool with a win over Northern, UCC qualified for the consolation semi-finals. Unfortunately, we lost to SMCS in 3 sets which eliminated us from the tournament. Varsity Volleyball takes another win against RSGC

The Varsity Volleyball team won three sets to none against RSGC yesterday afternoon with a sizable crowd supporting the Blues. The scores were 25-14, 25-14, and 25-22. Varsity Volleyball Gets Into The Win Column

The Varsity volleyball team is looking to turn the corner on their season after yesterday’s decisive 3-0 win over Crescent School. This past Friday, September 29th, the Varsity Volleyball team travelled to Etobicoke to compete in the Annual Etobicoke Collegiate Senior Boys Classic. This past Saturday, the UCC Varsity Blues Volleyball Team traveled to Aurora to face a competitive St. Andrew’s squad at their homecoming event. Varsity Volleyball Finishes Regular Season on Winning Note

Match Photos The Blues finished their season playing at home against Hillfield Strathallan College.  They started slow losing the first set 21-25 but took the next three handily to win the match 3-1. The match helped the Blues notch second place overall in the league as the team heads into playoffs at the end of this week.

Varsity Volleyball: UCC vs. Crescent

This past Saturday, on Association day, the UCC varsity blues volleyball team took on Crescent School and delivered a strong showing in front of the blue army crowd. They started the match with lots of intensity, and put away Crescent early, winning the first set comfortably 25-13. However, the Crescent team pushed back in the second set and made it a nail biter. To kick off the season, the UCC Varsity Blues Volleyball Team battled in the very competitive  McMmaster tournament. Despite losing four of five games, the boys played well and gave it their all.
